Attio CRM vs Onpipeline:

What happens beyond the Sales Pipeline?

Attio is built around configurable objects, relationships, and workflows. Its native data model provides a core CRM structure, while additional functions can be obtained through custom objects or external applications.

The difference becomes clearer when the sales process extends into quotes, approvals, e-signatures, recurring revenue, invoicing, inventory and customer document collection.

With Attio, you can build the revenue stack around your CRM. With Onpipeline, more of that stack is already the CRM.

Quotes: add-on vs a built-in

Attio does not include Quotes as one of its native standard CRM objects. For example, Attio’s official PandaDoc integration lets users create, send and track proposals and sales documents.

Onpipeline treats quoting as part of the CRM itself. Quotes are created directly from deals and pricebooks, while approval, rejection and revision are part of the quote lifecycle.

Once an approved or rejected quote changes, a new revision can be created while preserving previous versions and, when required, sending the revised quote through approval again.

Quote Management

PandaDoc vs built-in e-signatures

Both platforms can provide a signing experience. The difference is that Attio connects the CRM to an external e-signature platform. Attio’s documentation states that using the integration requires a PandaDoc Business subscription in addition to Attio.

Onpipeline includes e-signatures directly within Quote Management. Once a quote is ready and approved where required, the customer receives a unique signing link, signs online and both parties receive confirmation, without requiring a separate e-signature application.

E-signatures

Data modeling vs stock management

Attio’s flexible object model can be used to represent products and other business entities. That flexibility, however, is different from a dedicated inventory system.

Onpipeline Advanced includes inventory as a dedicated CRM capability connected directly to quotation management.

Salespeople can see real-time stock availability while preparing an offer, inventory levels are updated as products are sold or replenished, and the CRM can warn or block users when the quantity being quoted exceeds available stock.

CRM Inventory

Document layer vs CRM workflow

Attio does not offer a customer document portal as one of its standard CRM capabilities. Instead, its App Store allows external applications to add similar functionality.

Onpipeline Advanced includes the Customer Portal as a native CRM module. Customers can access shared files and invoices, receive specific document requests and upload required documents.

Document collection can also be automatically triggered when a deal reaches a particular pipeline stage or is marked Won.

Customer Portal

Recurring revenue model

Attio allows companies to create a custom Subscriptions object to track information such as subscription type, status, renewal date and seat count. Custom objects require the Pro or Enterprise plan.

For actual billing and revenue operations, Attio provides integrations with platforms such as Hyperline, Paid and Stripe.

Onpipeline includes recurring revenue directly from the deal. Advanced accounts can automatically generate invoices at each renewal.

Subscriptions

CRM with Invoicing

Attio can offer invoicing from an external billing platform. For example, Stripe Invoicing.

Attio also allows Pro and Enterprise customers to model Invoices as custom objects, and integrations such as Hyperline and Paid.

Onpipeline includes invoicing directly in the CRM. Quotes can continue into invoices without requiring a separate invoicing platform.

The difference is whether Attio is synchronizing with a billing system or the CRM itself is the invoicing system.

CRM with Invoicing

Pricing note: Attio starts at $44/user/month billed monthly for Plus, while Pro is $99/user/month and is required if a team wants to create custom objects such as its own Subscriptions or Invoices objects. Attio’s PandaDoc integration additionally requires PandaDoc Business, currently $65/user/month billed monthly or $49 with annual billing. Onpipeline Standard is $39/user/month billed monthly and includes Quote Management, approvals, revisions and e-signatures.
